The College Football Playoff Opens Its New Online Ticket-Reservations System for 2014 Season

Fans can lock in TeamTix Reservations to the first College Football Playoff National Championship and Semifinals contingent on their team qualifying

CHICAGO--()--Forward Market Media (FMM), the company behind TeamTix, in partnership with the College Football Playoff, today announced the launch of its CFP reservation system that allows fans to reserve face-value tickets to the first College Football Playoff National Championship.

Fans across the nation are eagerly awaiting the new era of the College Football Playoff beginning in the 2014-2015 season. The opening of this market gives those fans a way to engage months before kick-off, eliminating the uncertainty of the availability of tickets if their team qualifies. With this system, fans can reserve face-value tickets to the College Football Playoff National Championship, being played on Monday, Jan. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Here’s how it works: starting May 28, 2014, fans from across the nation can go to http://collegefootballplayoff.teamtix.com to select their favorite team and purchase TeamTix reservations for the College Football Playoff National Championship. A variety of seat options will be available on the market. If their team qualifies to play, the fan will be obligated to purchase that ticket at face value. If the team they specify does not qualify, the reservations expire and the fan forfeits only the reservation fees.

After purchasing reservations, fans have the option to sell them 24/7 in a highly organized, secure and transparent forward marketplace. Additional offerings such as travel and hospitality options will be added between now and kick-off, so fans should continue to view and participate in this first-ever College Football Playoff Forward Marketplace.

"The new playoff is the most significant innovation in college football in a generation and with it comes a commitment to fan engagement," said Bill Hancock, the Executive Director of the College Football Playoff. "We've seen the value the Forward Market has delivered to fans in bowl games and other events, and we are pleased to offer this kind of early access to the people who make the sport what it is. Fans will love this playoff and we are dedicated to making the first year all they imagined and more."

"We've been involved with college football since our founding and could not be more thrilled to be working with the College Football Playoff this year to give fans the access they deserve," said Tim Browne, President of Forward Market Media. "The college football community has an exciting new post-season format this year to look forward to and we are proud to be involved."

The Forward Market is a tested and proven model that has helped thousands of people access the events that matter most to them including the BCS National Championship Game and much more.
