STOCKTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCAN Health Plan and Hill Physicians Medical Group have teamed up to offer two basic technology classes for seniors this summer. “Cell Phone Basics” and “Computer Basics” are 90-minute classes developed and delivered by SCAN Health Plan. The free classes will be held at Hill Physicians Medical Group, 1776 W. March Lane, Suite 440, 4th Floor, in Stockton.
“New technology doesn’t have to be intimidating,” said Delena Penner, community outreach manager for SCAN. “Our patient and knowledgeable staff teach seniors the basics and how to have some fun with technology, too.”
Cell Phone Basics will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. The class was designed to help seniors understand the basic and advanced functions of their cell phones or smartphones, including texting and storing contact information.
Computer Basics will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Computer Basics is an entry-level, senior-focused class for those who’ve never used a computer but want to learn how. Participants will learn basic computer terminology, initial setup procedures, and how to use computer components like a keyboard and mouse.
