REYKJAVIK, Iceland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the first time ever, Secret Solstice Festival will be held in the centre of Reykjavik, Iceland, the most northerly capital city on the planet, June 20-22, 2014.
With over 130 acts announced including headliners like Massive Attack, Disclosure, Schoolboy Q, Woodkid, Banks, Jamie Jones, Múm and more, the first-time event has already pulled in an epic level of international talent.
But it’s not just the music that’s grabbing attention; it’s the unique concept of the event itself. Due to Iceland’s location close to the Arctic Circle, the sun literally will not set throughout the festival weekend during the summer solstice. This means festivalgoers will be treated to an unforgettable natural light show as the sun makes an arc through the sky every 24 hours, never truly setting.
That’s not all Secret Solstice has up its sleeve. With features like a volcano-powered geothermal pool and tours available to the country’s famous waterfalls and scenic beauty, the festival has more than music to offer.
Tickets are available now at secretsolstice.is. Flights to Iceland are available from any of Icelandair’s North American hubs.
