Miller, Ph.D., PE has joined the company’s Technical Advisory Board as a senior scientist. Dr. Miller was formerly the Director of Power Electronics and Electric Power Systems Center at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He is internationally regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on the physics of high power Wireless Power Transmission (WPT).

Prior to his tenure with ORNL, Dr. Miller was a member of the technical staff at Texas Instruments and later a research engineer and technical leader at the Ford Motor Company where he worked on electric and hybrid vehicle programs. Dr. Miller is an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University and Texas A&M University. Dr. Miller was past Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Power Electronics Society Newsletter, Chairman of the Education and Outreach Committee of KiloFarad International, and he served as IEEE Power Electronics Society and Industry Applications Society distinguished lecturer. He has authored or co-authored six books, more than 180 publications on automotive electrical and electronic systems, and holds 54 U.S. patents. Dr. Miller is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the recipient of the Henry Ford Technology Award and IEEE’s Kliman Innovator Award. He is a registered professional engineer in Michigan and Texas. Along with his work with Momentum Dynamics, Dr. Miller will continue as a consultant to a leading energy storage company.
