Mental Health Matters gala, “An Evening for our Veterans.” This year’s fundraising gala is dedicated to supporting Sound Mental Health’s services that support veterans struggling with mental illness. Margaret Larson, host of New Day Northwest, is Mistress of Ceremonies. There will be a cocktail reception, dinner and client testimonials. Media are invited to attend.

Who:

Former 16-year Congressman Patrick Kennedy, a nationally respected politician, mental health advocate, and son of Sen. Ted Kennedy, will serve as keynote speaker. Kennedy is a co-founding member of ONE MIND™, a Seattle-based nonprofit research and advocacy organization focused on brain diseases and reducing stigmas associated with mental health issues. Also speaking will be US military veteran Ariana Williams, who will share her story of struggle and recovery.
