MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Home Shield, the nation’s largest home warranty company, today announced new resources for home sellers and buyers in advance of a listing season that is expected to be one of the most active in recent years.
In 2013, sales of existing homes and condos were up 11 percent (5.29 million) – one of the highest levels in four years. These rising home prices are helping to boost sellers’ confidence for the 2014 season, yet home sellers and buyers still have limited resources when it comes to materials and guidance for listing or buying a home.
“This season, American Home Shield wants to be the go-to resource for valuable content for both home buyers and sellers alike,” said Lisa Rice, national vice president of field sales for American Home Shield, which is a subsidiary of The ServiceMaster Company, LLC, one of the nation’s largest residential service networks. “We have a wealth of information and tools from 43 years of working with the real estate industry and we want to make that available for anyone interested.”
The new campaign includes online repositories of information and tools, including:
- Updates to the “Your First Home” micro site – firsthomeresources.com
- The all-new “Open House” micro site – openhouseresource.com – which provides relevant information for sellers
- Open house kits and marketing tools to support real estate professionals during the season (lock box protectors, magnets, mats, tent cards, email templates, moving checklists, advertising materials, etc.)
To generate excitement about the campaign, a sweepstakes of weekly and monthly drawings will also be conducted until May 31, 2014. Each week drawings for two $50 Crate & Barrel gift cards and one $500 Merry Maids gift card will take place. And each month there will be a drawing for one $3,000 Walmart gift card.

“We want real estate professionals to get excited about the campaign; to use the materials we are providing and engage with us online and off,” added Rice. “Over the next several months, we are committed to providing home sellers, home buyers and real estate professionals with valuable news, tools and resources that guide them in listing, selling or purchasing homes.”
