MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Department of Defense (DoD) career Senior Executive Service member, Pat Tamburrino, Jr., has joined LMI as a director with the organization’s Business Development team. Tamburrino, most recently the Chief of Staff for the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, brings with him a wealth of experience and understanding of the challenges facing the nation’s civilian managers of the military, and will use this knowledge to better position LMI to meet these opportunities head-on.

Tamburrino’s 38 years of public service have covered the full spectrum of financial management, program management, technical oversight, strategic planning and human resource management responsibilities. He has been recognized by three United States Presidents for superior leadership and results in the federal government, twice earning the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive and Distinguished Executive. He is one of two Department of the Navy executives to be recognized three times.
Prior to his tenure at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Tamburrino served as the Chief Human Capital Officer of the Department and held a number of key positions in the Department of the Navy, including Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics; Executive Director of the Naval Sea Systems Command; Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Resources, Requirements and Assessments; Deputy Program Executive Officer for Submarines and Director, Cost Engineering, Naval Sea Systems Command.
Tamburrino is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 1976 to 1983.
