SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DivX, LLC, a leading provider of next-generation digital video solutions, today announced that Wowza® Media Systems, LLC, the leading provider of Simply Powerful Streaming™ software, has agreed to integrate the MainConcept HEVC codec SDK into Wowza Streaming Engine™ software, to support DivX Live streaming based on HEVC video and compatible with MPEG-DASH. Additionally, the two companies will work together to support DivX transcoding, paving the way for customers to stream live high-quality DivX HEVC content to devices.
DivX will be demonstrating Wowza Streaming Engine software at the upcoming NAB show beginning April 7 at booth SU9110, showcasing real-time DivX HEVC 1080p live streaming encoding using the MainConcept HEVC SDK. The combined solution will enable over-the-top (OTT) content providers to stream DivX HEVC on-demand or live content directly to consumer devices. DivX Live is based on HEVC and is compatible with MPEG-DASH.
