REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lastline, Inc., a provider of advanced malware defense technology for enterprise networks, today announced that WatchGuard Technologies has joined the Lastline Defense Program to combat advanced malware targeting businesses. As a member of the program, WatchGuard will leverage Lastline technology to power WatchGuard APT Blocker – available on their unified threat management (UTM) and next generation firewall (NGFW) products. WatchGuard products will utilize Lastline’s next generation cloud-based sandbox, powered by full-system emulation, which comprehensively inspects objects for unknown malware crafted to evade detection by traditional security systems.
“WatchGuard APT Blocker enables businesses to stay one step ahead of advanced cyber threats by providing them with the tools to detect and stop APTs,” said Brendan Patterson, director of product marketing at WatchGuard. “Combining APT Blocker’s ability to identify and submit suspicious files to Lastline’s cloud-based offering enables us to provide our customers with a best-of-breed solution that effectively combats today’s malicious cyber threats.”
The Lastline Defense Program includes strategic partnerships with vendors and service providers that share a common goal to defend businesses against advanced malware using Lastline technologies. Lastline’s APT defense technology is offered as a fully hosted solution by Lastline and as an on-premise, private cloud based solution.
“WatchGuard is recognized as one of the premier integrated security leaders in network security,” said Brian Laing, vice president of products at Lastline. “We are thrilled to welcome WatchGuard to our partner program, as they are continuing to ensure that their customers can feel more at ease knowing they have bolstered protection against today’s APTs and advanced malware threats.”
