DataGravity Appoints Jeff Boehm Vice President of Marketing

Veteran of data warehousing, business intelligence and search technology industries to lead marketing strategy in advance of 2014 product launch

NASHUA, N.H.--()--DataGravity, an early-stage company with a mission to turn data into information, today announced that it has hired Jeff Boehm as its vice president of marketing. Boehm comes to DataGravity from Qlik, where he was the vice president of global product marketing. He has more than 20 years of marketing and operational leadership experience spanning market strategy, product messaging and positioning, competitive intelligence and global field enablement. His rare combination of marketing skills, organizational leadership and technical background makes Boehm a valuable addition to the DataGravity team as the company moves forward in redefining storage.

Prior to his role at Qlik, a maker of user-driven business intelligence (BI) solutions, Boehm led marketing and product management at search and BI technology pioneers, including Business Objects, Endeca and Ardent/Ascential. Boehm is a frequent speaker at industry events and has shaped market conversations by addressing audiences at events including the Gartner BI Summit, the Accel Big Data Conference and the Computerworld Premier 100 Conference. In his new role at DataGravity, Boehm leads marketing efforts for the enterprise-grade storage solution that will help businesses reduce the cost and complexity of managing rampant data growth, while enhancing operational and strategic insight into their corporate data assets.

“Organizations are storing vast amounts of unstructured data, but they’re struggling to uncover useful insights from it,” said John Joseph, co-founder and president of DataGravity. “Jeff joins DataGravity at an exciting time in the company’s ramp-up, as we work closely with early-access channel partners and customers to finalize a solution to this problem and prepare for our market launch. He’ll be instrumental to the company mission over the coming months and beyond.”

“For as long as I’ve been in the data management space, storage has been seen simply as a repository for bits and bytes – not as a strategic ingredient in deriving business value from data. Organizations need a simplified solution for extracting information from both structured and unstructured data,” said Boehm. “DataGravity has a world-class team of visionaries, talented engineers and leading investors. Together, we are tackling hard questions that will redefine market expectations for storage and data management.”

Boehm earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science at Tufts University, and he holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Boston University.
