HealthPort® Achieves SSAE No. 16 Type 2 SOC 1

ALPHARETTA, Ga.--()--HealthPort®, the authority of the compliant exchange of protected health information (PHI) through the release of information services (ROI) and audit management technology, today announced its completion of a service auditor’s examination with the recent issuance of a Type 2 SOC 1 Service Auditor’s Report performed by Ernst & Young, LLP, an independent third-party auditing firm in accordance with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 and the accounting standards set by American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

SSAE No. 16 audit provides information about control objectives and activities, which include controls over its information technology and financial processes. HealthPort’s SSAE No. 16 Type 2 SOC 1 report contains a detailed description of controls and the auditor’s evaluation that these controls are suitably designed and operating effectively as of December 31, 2013.
