LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), announced the affiliation of Canyon Woods Grande International Vacation Club, comprising resorts in three of the most popular holiday destinations in the Philippines.
The first resort, Canyon Woods Resort Club in Metro Tagaytay, was affiliated to Interval’s exchange network in 2003 and evolved into a 475 acre multi-purpose complex. Today, that resort community has grown to 750 acres with a high-rise hotel called The Peak.
"We are very much looking forward to the development at Canyon Woods furthering our existing relationship," said Joe Hickman, Interval’s vice president and executive director for Asia Pacific. "Two more new resorts — Canyon de Boracay on tiny Boracay Island and Canyon Cove Hotel in Western Batangas on the South China Sea — will join it to form the vacation club."
Set in the mountains about 2,000 feet above sea level and 37 miles south of Metro Manila, The Peak at Canyon Woods Resort Club overlooks Taal Volcano and Taal Lake. Following the anticipated completion next month, the hotel will have 167 shared ownership units, most with panoramic views of the lake and volcano. Guests will have full access to Canyon Woods Resort Club amenities, which includes a spa, 9-hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts, badminton court, and several indoor and outdoor recreational areas with food service.
Canyon de Boracay is ideally situated at the centre of Boracay’s Long Beach. Boracay was named the World’s Best Island Destination in 2012 by Travel + Leisure magazine. The island is approximately 240 miles south of Metro Manila, situated in the northwest tip of Panay Islands in the western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay is known for its powdery white sand beaches and as the “Party Island of Asia.” The resort has 31 units composed of eight studios, eight villa suites, and 15 courtyard units. There is a swimming pool and restaurant/bar on the property. White Beach, the island's entertainment hub, is a two-minute walk away.
Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa is located in Nasugbu, the largest town in Western Batangas, on the South China Sea. Only two hours’ drive from Manila International Airport, this area is popular for its white-sand beaches and for its diving. All 217 shared ownership units have sea views and include daily housekeeping. The grounds include a two-tier beach area with a beach volleyball court. Guests can snorkel; take scuba diving lessons; hire a wide range of water sports equipment, including kayaks, pedal boats, skim boards, and jet skis; or simply enjoy the evening sunset. There are restaurants and a large freeform pool in the property, along with children’s pool, playground, games room, and two bars.
"We want our Vacation Club owners and guests to enjoy a range of vacation experiences — the best the Philippines has to offer," said George Go, president and CEO of Canyon Woods Grande International Vacation Club. "We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with Interval International by offering members these new resort destinations."
