LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Forum Partners announces the appointment of George Ahl as Managing Director, Capital Markets based in Forum’s Greenwich office. He brings considerable experience to Forum, with his long-standing relationships formed over the past 17 years with many of the most sophisticated real estate private equity investors.
Before joining Forum Partners, George Ahl was one of the founding Principals of M3 Capital Partners, a global real estate investment and advisory firm that has raised in excess of $27 billion of equity capital on behalf of its global clients since 2001. There he also led the successful capitalization of one of the largest real estate private equity funds sourced from institutions in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
Prior to this, he held senior positions at Security Capital Group and at Crimson Capital Corporation, where he was engaged in assisting in the transition of select Eastern European countries from centrally planned to market economies. During his earlier career he held positions at LaSalle Partners and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.
In his new role, he will be responsible for capital markets and future product development with a primary focus in North America.
Russell Platt, CEO of Forum Partners, commented:
“George has exceptional experience across real estate and we are hugely pleased to have attracted such an industry veteran. There is no question that he is joining us at a most exciting time of considerable growth. We are a global business with investments across 37 countries. We see enormous opportunities for developing our business model further afield, not just in Europe and Asia but also in North America. We see George as being a major contributor to this expansion plan as we continue to source opportunities for clients globally.”
Last month Forum Partners announced the acquisition of Cushman & Wakefield Investors through its joint venture with La Française.
