New Nielsen data from 2013 of packaged beverage sales across retail channels indicate that Deer Park® brand water, a product of Nestlé Waters North America, is the best-selling beverage in the Washington, D.C. area.
In 2013, sales of Deer Park® brand water in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area topped 85 million gallons. By volume, this represents 36 percent greater sales than the COKE® brand (including all flavors, diets and other variants), and more than 70 percent greater than sales by volume of the PEPSI-COLA® brand (including all flavors, diet and other variants).

Besides Washington, bottled water now outsells carbonated soft drinks in grocery stores in 15 other major markets, including New York, Boston, Miami and Los Angeles.
