ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Connexall today announced a partnership with Imprivata to integrate Connexall’s industry-leading event notification and alarm management platform with Imprivata Cortext®, the secure communications platform for healthcare. This powerful new collaboration is designed to ensure that critical healthcare information will be conveyed promptly, reliably and securely. This critical information may take the form of requests for consultation, notification of patient admission or discharge, critical lab results, stat orders, or medical device alarms.
Imprivata Cortext improves patient care coordination by secure text and photo messaging, real-time message synchronization across multiple devices, a desktop application with built-in notifications and multi-site communication across hospitals, health systems, accountable care organizations (ACOs), physician practices, home health agencies and other healthcare organizations. Through application programming interface (API)-level integration with Connexall, time sensitive information posted to an electronic medical record or other information system can now be transmitted immediately with Imprivata Cortext. Pages and requests for callback have become obsolete with content-rich information conveyed to those who need it, safely and securely.
Moreover, using the advanced features of Connexall, that same information can be shared with multiple recipients, and may be automatically directed to different devices depending on time of day. This can include a hospital-provided Wi-Fi device during first shift hours, a physician’s personal smartphone via Imprivata Cortext later in the day, or an answering service after hours using text-to-speech communications.
“We are delighted to partner with Imprivata to enable customers to deliver Connexall notifications, alarms and other content to providers via Imprivata Cortext,” said John Elms, President at Connexall. “Imprivata is an established leader in the healthcare industry, with more than 1,000 healthcare organizations globally using its core authentication and access management solutions. Connexall is deployed in more than 1,100 facilities worldwide. By bringing together two market leaders, we are providing our existing and future customers a must-have solution, while eliminating the need for a third-party solution.”
“The integration of Connexall with Imprivata Cortext gives care providers a powerful solution to help streamline the communication process, improve care coordination and increase productivity for better focus on patient care. We look forward to working with Connexall to bringing our integrated solutions to market,” said Geoff Hogan, Senior VP, Corporate and Business Development at Imprivata.
Connexall and Imprivata will be showing these combined solutions at HIMSS. Visit Connexall at Booth 3102 and Imprivata at Booth 2541.
