ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nalco, an Ecolab company, expands its industry-leading 3D TRASAR™ technology with introduction of the 3D TRASAR Solid Cooling Water Program for commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals and educational facilities.
3D TRASAR Cooling Water technology continuously monitors building cooling water systems to detect water quality issues in real-time and dispense precise chemistry to optimize system performance, reduce water and energy use, and protect assets. The addition of Ecolab’s solid chemistry technology and innovative dispensing equipment increases on-site safety and provides additional sustainability benefits.
“The 3D TRASAR Solid Cooling Water Program is a great example of our commitment to leverage leading technologies across all Ecolab businesses,” said Tim Mulhere, Ecolab executive vice president and president, Global Water. “By combining Ecolab’s 25-year-history of solid chemistry and dispenser innovation with Nalco’s expertise in automation and chemistry formulations, we’re able to offer customers significant added value to their cooling system operations.”
To improve safety and sustainability, the 3D TRASAR Solid Cooling Water Program is designed with easy-to-transport solid brick chemistry, replacing pails and drums to help reduce packaging by 94 percent.
The 3D TRASAR program is widely used for cooling water, boiler water, membrane and wastewater operations. In 2013, 3D TRASAR technology helped customers save more than 120 billion gallons of water.
