With only two days to go until Univision’s stellar celebration of the best and brightest talent in Latin music, the Network has released the complete list of Hispanic stars who will be presenting awards at “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2014, in addition to adding three new names to its already impressive roster of A-list performers. Hosted by celebrated singer/actress Ninel Conde and telenovela heartthrob William Levy, the 26th Annual Edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards) will air LIVE from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. Central. Prior to the awards show (7:00 p.m. ET/PT, 6:00 p.m. Central), Univision will bring viewers every exciting moment of the stars’ entrances in a LIVE Arrivals Carpet special, with full fashion coverage.
A veritable “Who’s Who” of celebrities from the Latin entertainment world will be on hand to present the “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2014 awards, including: telenovela stars Altair Jarabo, Ana Brenda Contreras, Ariadne Díaz, Elizabeth Alvarez, Jorge Salinas, and Marjorie de Sousa; film star Eduardo Verástegui; famous music artists 3Ball MTY, Chino y Nacho, El Dasa, Fanny Lu, Frankie J, Gretchen, J. Alvarez, La Santa Cecilia, Montez de Durango, Noel Torres, and Tommy Torres; Chiquis Rivera, daughter of the late regional Mexican diva Jenni Rivera; Puerto Rican actress and former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera; and popular Univision personalities Argelia Atilano, Barbara Bermúdez, Chiquinquirá Delgado, Enrique Santos, Pamela Silva Conde, Pedro Moreno and Raúl Brindis. Additionally, breakout pop teen star Austin Mahone and Diego Luna, actor and director of the film “Cesar Chavez,” will make special appearances as presenters.
The list of Latin music megastars slated to perform at this year’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” show now includes three additional names. Colombian-born salsa singer Charlie Zaa will take the stage along with eight of the genre’s most renowned artists –Cheo Feliciano, Ismael Miranda, José Alberto “El Canario,” Nora, Oscar de León, Sergio George, Tito Nieves, and Willy Chirino– as part of the powerhouse group “Los Grandes de la Salsa” (The Salsa Giants). Acclaimed pop singer/songwriter Luis Fonsi returns to the “Premio Lo Nuestro” stage to perform the world premiere of his new single, “Corazón en la Maleta,” which was launched yesterday on Univision’s exclusive music service, Uforia. And Yandel, member of the famous reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel and now a best-selling solo artist, will be joined by urban star Daddy Yankee for a showstopping performance of their current hit, “Moviendo Caderas,” the third blockbuster single from Yandel’s first solo album. Previously announced performers include Alejandra Guzmán, Banda el Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, Enrique Iglesias, Gerardo Ortiz, Gloria Trevi, J. Balvin, Jencarlos Canela, Marc Anthony, Marco Antonio Solís, Romeo Santos, Oscar de León, Pepe Aguilar, Pitbull, Prince Royce, and Voz de Mando.
Starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central), Univision will provide exclusive LIVE coverage of the glamorous parade of stars making their way down the “Premio Lo Nuestro” Arrivals Carpet in a pre-awards special hosted by Univision’s Alejandra Espinoza and Chiquinquirá Delgado, co-hosts of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty); Raúl de Molina and Rodner Figueroa, co-hosts of the entertainment shows “El Gordo y la Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny) and “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper), respectively; and Tony Dandrades, entertainment reporter for “Primer Impacto” (First Impact).
