Navis’ New Optimization Services to Help Terminals Increase Productivity Through Automated Decision Making

Initiative Underscores Commitment to the Advancement of Terminal Operational Performance

OAKLAND, Calif.--()--Navis, the global technology standard for managing the movement of cargo through terminals, today announced the launch of Navis Optimization Services, a global consulting practice within Navis Professional Services. The company’s Optimization Services will assist Navis terminals to increase their operational productivity through the implementation of Navis optimization modules and the improvement of associated operational processes. With over 25 years of industry experience and technology utilized at more than 250 terminals across the globe, the launch of Navis Optimization Services demonstrates a deep commitment to strengthening customer partnerships, pre and post implementation, to improve operational productivity.

“Optimization software automates complex operational decisions, delivering significant ROI and operational productivity improvements,” said Frederik Stork, Director, Optimization Services at Navis. “Optimization Services is Navis’ response to our customers’ need for an integrated delivery of TOS implementation, optimization module configuration and the improvement of associated operational processes.”

Navis Optimization Services include:

  • An end-to-end implementation of the Navis optimization modules, including proper business process and data analysis, followed by the iterative configuration, testing, and tuning of the optimization modules, followed by thorough user enablement and go-live support;
  • A ‘tune-up’ of an existing implementation of our optimization modules to adapt to change occurring at terminals;
  • An implementation of a custom optimization module to address terminal-specific situations;
  • Execution of an emulation study, either in a leadership role, or in support of projects from emulation software vendors.

“Navis customers who utilize our Optimization Services will have access to the resources and support necessary to configure and implement Navis Optimization Modules,” said Scott Fleming, Vice President Performance and Analytics for Navis. “We are confident that these new services will improve the overall, long-term value that terminals receive through their partnership with Navis.”
