HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Behavioral Recognition Systems, Inc. (BRS Labs), creator of the only solution that autonomously learns and alerts on suspicious behavior in video surveillance, today announced the hiring of five senior sales leaders to capitalize on dramatic growth from 2013, as well as expand the presence of the organization’s AISight® platform within high-growth target markets in 2014. These highly experienced professionals have successfully mastered sales in both the enterprise-grade commercial market as well as large-scale federal, state and local government. They include:
Bill Murphy – Mr. Murphy joins BRS Labs after working as a Senior Homeland Security Specialist for Thermo Fisher Scientific. He has trained counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics agents in more than 27 countries under special funding from the US State Department and the US Justice Department, and has held leadership positions at organizations ranging from the New York City Police Department, General Electric and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Jay Thompson – Previously with Iron Sky, Inc., Mr. Thompson is an IT and video surveillance expert with deep expertise solving complex safety and security challenges for law enforcement agencies, state and local governments, and Fortune 100 corporations. Mark Bedard – With a long record of helping sales organizations compete and win against larger entrenched competition, Mr. Bedard joins BRS Labs with a thorough understanding of how cameras and other optical sensors support complex physical security implementations. Previously he was a highly successful sales manager at Gatso USA and Ahura Scientific.
Drew Davis – Mr. Davis is an experienced sales professional who specialized in helping rapid-growth organizations build sales and secure funding. After many years supporting a variety of organizations within the technology industry, he now brings his broad range of accomplishments and sales success to BRS Labs as an integral part of this expanded team.
Mark Bimonte – After creating robust pipeline and multi-million dollar sales for a wide variety of safety and security solutions, including cybersecurity, network monitoring, toxin identification, and physical security, Mr. Bimonte comes to BRS Labs from Niksun, Inc. He has extensive experience in both government and corporate sales, including commercial building operations and financial services.
“BRS Labs continues to expand its dominance in Intelligent Video Surveillance by investing in its people,” said Ray Davis, Chief Executive Officer of BRS Labs. “Previous years have seen exponential sales growth and continued product and market maturation directly attributable to the work and cultural ethics of our people at BRS Labs. This expansion in the sales department is a major step towards achieving our goal of tripling our sales staff in 2014!”
BRS Labs’ behavioral recognition technology operates seamlessly across multiple locations and scales to an unlimited number of video and data sensors, making AISight the only practical solution for large-scale safety and security deployments. AISight generates relevant real-time alerts by teaching itself to recognize unexpected behaviors as it watches and monitors video surveillance cameras and thousands of other sensors, such as chemical, pressure, and temperature.
This self-learning, smarter approach helps users make better, faster, and more informed safety and security decisions without overwhelming staff with large numbers of non-critical alerts. Upcoming multisensory capabilities will extend the company’s reach into SCADA and other markets that can benefit from real-time recognition of unexpected behaviors detected within very large volumes of both structured and unstructured data.
“2013 was a great year for BRS Labs,” said John Frazzini, President of BRS Labs. “We more than doubled our gross sales and our behavioral recognition solutions have become the gold standard for enhanced video surveillance. These new sales hires are the team that will compound our success in 2014, as we rapidly expand our presence in SCADA and other multisensory markets. With these powerhouse additions to our team, we are well positioned for an even more exciting 2014.”
