NEW RESEARCH: Race and Retirement Insecurity in the United States

Webinar on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 12 PM ET to Review Findings

WASHINGTON--()--The National Institute on Retirement Security will host a webinar on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at 12:00 PM ET to review the findings of a new research report, Race and Retirement Insecurity in the United States.

This new research examines retirement racial disparities among working-age Black, Latino and Asian households age 25-64 and analyzes three key areas – workplace retirement coverage, retirement account ownership, and retirement account balances. It is a companion study to The Retirement Savings Crisis: Is It Worse Than We Think?, released earlier this year that found the typical working-age household only has some $3,000 saved in retirement accounts. Race and Retirement Insecurity in the U.S. finds that Americans of color fare even worse.

The research will be available in advance of the webinar at 7 AM ET on December 10th at www.nirsonline.org.
