BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nicholas Bruno has joined Continuum, the industry's only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed services, as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He comes from Pegasystems where he was IT Security Officer, developing and implementing the company’s information security and IT risk management strategy. Nick will continue to build on Continuum’s own information security programs to protect the company as well as its partners and their clients. He will also develop a new portfolio of information security products and services to add to its partners’ security offerings.
“Information security continues as one of the top concerns in IT, and we are fortunate to have Nick join our team to ensure our partners have the latest, cutting-edge security tools at the ready for their customers,” said Rob Autor, Senior Vice President – Global Service Delivery at Continuum.
Prior to Pegasystems, Nick was Head of Information Security and Risk Management for EMD Millipore, the Chemicals Division of Merck KGaA, which acquired Millipore Corporation. There, he was Information Security Officer. Early in his career, Nick held IT security-related positions at Boston Communications Group, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and H&R Block Mortgage Corporation. He is highly educated in the field with a bachelor’s degree in MIS from Salem State College, a master’s degree in Network Security from Capital College, and holds many certifications such as Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) and CISSP-ISSAP.
“Security concerns are always at the forefront of any IT strategic plan,” said Nick Bruno. “With targeted advanced attacks on the rise and the complexity of networks increasing, Continuum continues to ensure its partners have all the necessary tools for their customers. I have a wide range of experience in the IT security arena, and I look forward to supporting the cause for our partners.”
Nick served in the military for nine years, holding the rank of Staff Sergeant for the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
