SecureKey Technologies to Present Webinar on Federated Consumer Identity Featuring Independent Research Firm

Session with Guest Analyst Eve Maler to Focus on Strengthening and Monetizing Online Customer Relationships while Improving User Experience and Security

TORONTO--()--SecureKey, the leading provider of trusted identity networks, today announced a webinar on the growing challenges to digital identity. The webinar will feature Andre Boysen, executive vice president of marketing for the company, and guest speaker Eve Maler, principal analyst serving security and risk professionals for Forrester Research. Boysen and Maler will discuss how a federated approach to consumer identity can simplify and enhance the online user experience for accessing trusted services, and how this approach can help service providers strengthen and better monetize customer relationships.

“Being able to authenticate users is absolutely core to successful, high-value online services,” said Andre Boysen. “Identity management is a huge—and growing—concern for web services. A federated model enables users to bring their existing trusted credentials to any online service and assures service providers that users are who they say they are.”

The webinar, “Embracing a Federated Consumer Identity Model to Increase Security and User Trust,” will be presented on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 9:00 am Pacific Standard Time.

Guest speaker Eve Maler is an expert on emerging identity and security solutions, identity federation, consumer-facing identity and web access management, user-managed access, privacy enhancement, and API security. Maler’s experience includes roles as an identity solutions architect at PayPal and managing federated identity interoperability collaborations between Sun Microsystems and Microsoft.

The session will explore the idea of digital identity, describing the current challenges that users and online service providers face with online authentication. Attendees will learn the pros and cons of social sign-in approaches and how a federated approach with trusted reusable identities can solve the online service challenges associated with verifying users. Attendees can also learn about opportunities to become a provider of trusted identities or ways of implementing this approach using trusted identities from other providers.

All webinar attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the thought leadership paper “Increase Security and User Trust, Embrace a Federated Consumer Identity Model.” This paper is a study conducted by Forrester Consulting and commissioned by SecureKey Technologies.
