STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Booth #2539 South Building
FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc., will unveil a patient-centric vendor neutral archive (VNA) for healthcare professionals at the 99th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, IL. Synapse VNA technology will catalog and maintain the data in a patient centric model allowing a single access point for EMRs and other systems.
“Many attendees at RSNA are looking for a VNA solution that helps clinicians make critical decisions and helps reduce costs by unifying patient images and documents across multiple vendor systems, departments, specialties, and locations,” said Jim Morgan, vice president of Medical Informatics, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.
Multi-vendor environments are commonplace and Synapse VNA provides the platform to interface and integrate the data generated by these systems, and provide actionable intelligence. Synapse VNA will enhance image management, streamline workflow, reduce costs and, most importantly, improve patient care. It can be implemented within any environment and offers data access and availability. The archive allows sharing and consolidation of the storage and provides secure access across all authorized users. Synapse VNA provides a unified viewing experience for the VNA DICOM and non-DICOM data.
”We’ve had a good experience with Synapse VNA, and are very happy with it,” said Steve Roberts, director of Host Systems at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. “Everyone is waiting to get the functionality to add and view non-DICOM images. It’s a great feeling to know that all types of clinical images can be added to enrich a patient’s medical record. Everyone appreciates this value.”
