Westwood College Introduces New Scholarship and Reward Program

100% of Westwood College Students Eligible for At Least One of 11 Institutional Scholarships or Rewards

DENVER--()--Faced with the difficult task of paying for their education, many college students are using a combination of grants, savings and student loans. But some of the most effective vehicles for lowering education costs – scholarships – are often overlooked.

With this in mind, Westwood College has established 11 institutional scholarships, ensuring that 100 percent of its students are eligible for at least one scholarship or reward. The expanded scholarship programs increase the availability of financial rewards to help students lower their overall education costs.

“Our students are committed to bettering their futures through education, and they work hard every day in pursuit of their passion,” said Rick Yaconis, president of Westwood College. “Westwood College has a range of scholarships and rewards to support students who are ready to dedicate the time and hard work needed to earn a college degree and prepare themselves for meaningful employment, and we do all we can to make sure they can access these opportunities.”

Westwood College’s 11 scholarships and rewards range from the First Step scholarship that helps new students get started with their degree, to the PATH Scholarship, which awards up to $10,000 to current students who demonstrate dedicated career planning and action. In addition, the President’s Scholarship provides free tuition for Westwood College and is awarded to 28 graduates of participating high schools in the neighborhoods surrounding each of the college’s 14 campuses.

Westwood College is dedicated to preparing students for meaningful work in the areas of technology, healthcare, business, justice and design. For more information on the new Westwood College Scholarships and Rewards program, visit: westwood.edu/scholarships.
