NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hastings, the international investment firm focused exclusively on infrastructure assets, today announced that Robert Collins will join as Executive Director, Head of Global Investment in North America. Mr. Collins has significant infrastructure investment experience, serving previously as Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Americas at Greenhill & Co. He will join Hastings effective December 2, 2013, and will be based in New York.
In North America, Global Investment led by Mr. Collins will complement the Hastings infrastructure debt team, led by Nick Cleary, Director, Infrastructure Debt, and Hastings' business development activities in the institutional investor market, led by Irene Mavroyannis, Executive Director, Head of Hastings North America and Business Development.
Mr. Collins will head Hastings’ North American Global Investment team and will lead the company’s equity investment activities in the region. In this capacity, he will report to Peter Taylor, Executive Director and Global Head of Global Investment. Mr. Collins will also serve on the company’s Global Executive Leadership Team and Hastings' Equity Investment Committee.

At Greenhill, Mr. Collins advised on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financings and capital raisings to corporations, partnerships and governments worldwide. Prior to Greenhill, he was Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure for the Americas at Morgan Stanley and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Collins holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a B.E., Chemical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University. He qualified with a Masters Equivalent, Nuclear Engineering, from the Bettis Reactor Engineering School and served as a Lieutenant, Nuclear Engineer, in the United States Naval Nuclear Submarine Program.
