In 2012, the metropolis exported medical and health care products amounting to USD 1.44 billion (+2.6 per cent); from 01-09/2013 to USD 1.1 billion (+1.4 per cent). Main export countries included China, USA, Japan and Germany. Products to a value of UDS 1.54 billion (+3.9 per cent) were imported to Hong Kong in 2012 and USD 1.2 billion (-1.3 per cent) from January to September 2013. The largest share of business came from medical instruments and applications, electronic measurement and diagnostic equipment.
