Ipanema Technologies Continues its U.S. expansion with the Hiring of John P. Milik as Director of Channel Sales for Cloud Services

Former Cisco senior manager to lead expansion of Ipanema’s AppsWork service

BOSTON--()--Ipanema Technologies – the industry leader in network solutions allowing enterprises to guarantee their application performance - has announced the appointment of John P. “Jack” Milik as director of channel sales in the U.S. focusing specifically AppsWork, the firm’s cloud service. Jack is responsible for managing existing channel partners and adding and developing new partners in key regions Ipanema has identified as potential high growth areas such as the east coast. He reports directly to Rogier van der Wal, VP of cloud services at Ipanema Technologies.

“Jack has extensive experience in developing, launching and enabling channel business for new business units and a thorough understanding of the tech eco-system,” said van der Wal. “Jack’s expertise and proven track record as a start-up veteran will be integral as the North America team continues to build Ipanema’s presence in the channel market.”

Most recently, Jack served as Senior Manager of Channels at VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company, where he pioneered VCE’s entrance into the channel market, co-developing its go to market strategy with VCE executive leadership. Prior to VCE, Jack held several senior sales and channel leadership positions in companies like Marconi, Ocular Networks and Radware before joining Cisco Systems to build and run its Midwest datacenter practice. While there he orchestrated successful launches of both the Nexus and UCS products to partners, with each product line becoming the fastest in Cisco history to hit $1 billion in revenue.

“As we see mid-market companies becoming more reliant on business applications and migrating their apps to the cloud, it is becoming more critical than ever that these apps just work,” said Milik. “By making Ipanema’s benefits available as a service, mid-market companies now have a cost effective and affordable way to solve these issues.”

AppsWork guarantees application performance and provides unique visibility on application usage, as a service. For channel partners, Ipanema’s AppsWork service provides an alternative to the old product based channel model and offers a recurring revenue stream, without impacting the channels resources.
