Pat Handren of Denbury Resources, Inc. to Speak at Women’s Energy Network – North Texas Chapter November 2013 Luncheon Meeting in Fort Worth

DALLAS--()--Pat Handren, Senior Consulting Engineer at Denbury Resources, Inc., will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Women’s Energy Network (WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, 777 Main Street #4000. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon from noon-1:00 p.m.

Handren will discuss “Taking Away the Myths and the Mysteries of Fracturing.” His presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

Pat Handren has worked in the petroleum industry for over 30 years. He currently is a senior consulting engineer for Denbury Resources, Inc. Pat was the Bakken Operations Engineering Manager for Denbury until it was sold to XTO/Exxon. Through his career Pat has worked for Sun Gas Company (later known as Oryx Energy Company), as an independent consultant, as an engineer for Carbo Ceramics and as a completions engineer for Ascent Energy Company. Pat has worked in many of the oil and gas fields across the continental United States, as well as fields in South America. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers and articles through industry trade journals and through SPE. He is a co-author for the US patent on overbalanced perforating. Pat has spoken at many SPE meetings and conferences. He graduated in 1981 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a BS in Petroleum Engineering.
