MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--QualMetrix, a healthcare analytics company delivering actionable insights to payers, providers and employers to help them reduce cost while enhancing the quality of healthcare, has named Cristian Ilie its Chief Technology Officer.
Ilie brings over 15 years of experience delivering high value technology solutions that transform the way healthcare organizations interact with information and make critical business decisions. He co-founded Visual Intelligence, a leading analytics company, and is an expert in large scale data warehouse and business intelligence development, with a deep focus in advanced analytics, visualization techniques, data mining and modeling.

Prior to founding Visual Intelligence, Ilie led an innovation team for a large Blue Cross plan, evaluating emerging technologies in informatics and applying them to core business challenges. Previously, he worked for Spotfire, leading numerous engagements, and for UPMC Health System as Biostatistics Manager.
Ilie holds two Masters degrees, one in Health Information Management and Medical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh and one in Healthcare Administration/Policy Research from Pennsylvania State University. He has a B.S. in Biology Sciences from Pennsylvania State University.
