James Avery Announces New Kerrville Retail Showroom & Visitors’ Center

Local jeweler to expand with new retail store and visitors’ center in Kerrville, TX

KERRVILLE, Texas--()--James Avery, a family-owned jewelry retailer, announces plans to build a new retail store and visitors’ center at the corporate headquarters in Kerrville, TX. Construction, by Zuber Construction, Inc., begins this week for the project designed to be a destination point of interest in the Texas Hill Country. David Martin, AIA, of A3 Studio, collaborated with in-house architect Howell Ridout and the Avery family to integrate Avery’s newly developed retail look with the traditional Hill Country architecture of the Avery campus. A greatly expanded visitors’ center overlooks a park like setting where visitors and travelers may gather and relax. The project was supported with services from Maxwell Engineering of Kerrville and San Antonio’s Emil Swize & Associates Engineers. Scheduled opening is fall 2014.

Howell Ridout, AIA, Vice President of Real Estate and Development at James Avery, comments on the expansion plans, “We are very excited about the new store and visitors’ center that will enable customers to experience the inspiration, artistry and symbolism in our work. The visitors’ center will feature six exhibit areas, including the use of some multimedia, telling the Avery story from our history and values to the inspiration and fine craftsmanship of our designs. Our hope is to attract individuals and families from across the nation and enhance their visit to the Texas Hill Country.”

Nationwide, James Avery currently operates a total of 69 stores across the South and Midwest. Customers can find their nearest store location by visiting www.jamesavery.com/storelocations.
