(Nasdaq:PLCM), the global leader in open, standards-based unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), today announced interoperability with BroadSoft® UC services across the popular Polycom® VVX® Business Media Phone portfolio, enabling Internet telephony providers to now offer enhancements to directory and presence features. Initially available on Polycom VVX 500 and 600 in the first quarter of this year, the company also recently expanded support for BroadSoft’s UC services for the Polycom VVX 300 and 400 models. The support for BroadSoft UC services simplifies the enterprise experience, providing a richer feature set for small and medium-sized customers, making users more productive with High Definition (HD) voice and video capabilities. The announcement was made at BroadSoft Connections 2013 users’ conference taking place this week at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

The BroadSoft features now available on Polycom VVX Business Media Phones include:
- Access to the BroadSoft Enterprise Directory – users can see contact cards containing details such as work, extension, and mobile numbers of contacts. Users can also search the directory, as well as save contacts from the BroadSoft Enterprise Directory to the local contact directory on the phone.
- Access to BroadCloud® Presence – users can view presence status with their BroadSoft UC contacts.
- Ability to View Contacts as Favorites – users can view their BroadCloud directory favorites in places such as the contact list or from the ‘Home’ view.
