TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TLC Laser Eye Centers®, Ontario’s premier provider of LASIK and refractive eye care services, today announced the acquisition of Yonge Eglinton Laser Eye Centre, a leading LASIK provider in the greater Toronto area (GTA).
The acquisition immediately enhances TLC’s already exceptional team of Ontario laser eye surgeons (including Drs. Nick Nianiaris, Dean Smith, Ike Ahmed, Hugh Jellie, Brad McCuaig and Bruce Nichols) with the addition of several highly recognized and uniquely accomplished surgeons from Yonge Eglinton: Drs. David Rootman, Allan Slomovic, Neera Singal, Theodore Rabinovitch, Clara Chan, Arnold Kravetz and Nicholas Skouras.
This group, which represents the area’s most experienced and advanced refractive surgery team in the GTA, will soon work out of a new, state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Toronto. Opening later this year, the center will offer GTA residents a range of vision treatment options such as LASIK, laser cataract surgery, Avedro corneal collagen cross-linking, corneal inlays for the treatment of presbyopia, and much more.
The advanced facility will also feature a dual-laser platform that includes the new Allegretto Wavelight EX 500® and VISX STAR S4 IR™. Having two of the world’s most advanced lasers allows the experienced surgeons at TLC to deliver the treatment best suited for the complexities of any patient.
