TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba
Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced that it has launched high
current photorelays, “TLP241A” and “TLP241AF”, as new additions to its
“TLP240” series in DIP4 packages offering reinforced insulation. Mass
production is scheduled to start in November this year.
The
products increase guaranteed maximum on-state current to 2A, four times
that of the existing product1, allowing use in applications
that include factory automation, which requires control of high current.
The “TLP240” series adopts a double-mold DIP4 package, realizing an isolation voltage of 5000Vrms (AC, 1 minute). The latest addition to the series will offer a wide range of off-state output terminal voltage, from 40 to 600V, allowing selection to meet system requirements for applications that include factory automation, smart meters and security equipment.
Key Features of New Products
- On-state current: ION = 2A (maximum)
- Off-state output terminal voltage: VOFF = 40V (minimum)
- Isolation voltage: BVS = 5000Vrms (minimum)
-
Line-up of two products with different clearances and creepage
distances
TLP241A: 7mm (minimum)
TLP241AF: 8mm (minimum) - Package: DIP4 package
Applications
Factory automation
control systems, smart meters, security equipment, measurement control
systems, replacement of mechanical relays, and medical equipment.
Note
1: Comparison with “TLP240A” and “TLP240AF” with a guaranteed
maximum current of 500mA.
