GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Servosity, a leader in backup and disaster recovery cloud applications, announced that founder and CEO Damien Stevens recently testified before the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access of the United States Congress chaired by Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC). The hearing titled “Private Sector Initiatives to Educate Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs” was to review private sector training and mentorship programs that are providing education to business owners and entrepreneurs across the nation and their effects on small business growth and job creation. Stevens was also joined by other business leaders: Dina Powell, managing director Goldman Sachs, Stephen Morgan, chairman of My Own Business, Inc., and Kim Pate who is the chief external relations officer of Corporation for Enterprise Development in Washington, DC.
Servosity has benefited from working closely with a private sector organization, NEXT Innovation Center, in Greenville, South Carolina which was built to help businesses like Servosity succeed. Stevens not only spoke as a representative from the disaster recovery and backup technology space, but he also spoke as an entrepreneur that started his own technology company with minimal outside investment.
