SHARON HILL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biomed Pharmaceuticals, (“Biomed” or the “Company”), a leading national specialty infusion pharmacy provider, has named Craig Mears as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective immediately. Mr. Mears has over 26 years of experience in sales leadership, patient advocacy, product development, marketing, operations, and clinical program development. Most recently, Mr. Mears was with Biogen Idec where he was responsible for building the hemophilia field force and business strategy, hiring the field management team and managing community relationships. Prior to that, Mr. Mears was with Accredo, the specialty pharmacy division of Express Scripts from 1996-2012. Mr. Mears has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
Leo Gianacopoulos has been named Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations, effective immediately. Mr. Gianacopoulos has 23 years of experience in specialty pharmacy management. Most recently, Mr. Gianacopoulos was Vice President of Operations at BioScrip where he was responsible for infusion operations (east) and established operations for a national hemophilia program with centralized intake and pharmacy fulfillment services. Prior to that, Mr. Gianacopoulos was Vice President of Operations for Biological Therapies for Coram Healthcare from 2003-2009. Mr. Gianacopoulos has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences / Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science. He also is a Certified Project Management Professional through PMI, Inc. and has a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University. Mark Strollo will transition his operational oversight to Mr. Gianacopoulos and will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Matters to further strengthen the service to our patients and other partners.
