--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PediaCare:
WHO: | Dr. David Hill, father, pediatrician and author of Dad to Dad: Parenting like a Pro | |||||
WHAT: |
With cough and cold season quickly approaching, Dr. Hill will give a media briefing via WebEx in which he discusses tips for treating children when they’re sick and will introduce a new single dose children’s medicine product from PediaCare®. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask Dr. Hill questions about best practices for treating fever and pain in children and can register to receive product samples.
Child safety was a driving force in the development of the new single dose product. Misuse of over-the-counter medications are involved in approximately one-third of emergency department visits among children under the age of 12.1 Of those visits, 80% of them are due to unsupervised children taking medications on their own and 10% of emergency department visits in this age group are due to medication errors.2 With only one dose included in each child-resistant packet of this new product, the threat of overdosing is greatly reduced. |
