To raise funds for worldwide testing and treatment for HIV/AIDS and celebrate the AIDS Healthcare Foundation-presented New York Fashion Week show of the Tumbler & Tipsy fashion line by Michael Kuluva, the Brooklyn location of the Foundation’s Out of the Closet Thrift Store will be hosting an in-store media event on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 from 6 – 9 PM, where attendees are encouraged to donate a stylish look to the store for a chance to win front row seats to the September 12 Tumbler & Tipsy Show at Style 360 Fashion Week.

In addition to designer Michael Kuluva, guests will have the opportunity to meet former *NSYNC member Lance Bass and three-time US national figure skating champion Johnny Weir. After drinks, dancing, and a meet and greet, Kuluva will announce the winner of the fashion contest at the event.

“The Brooklyn Out of the Closet is located near some of the nation’s top fashion schools, and in the fashion capital of the world, New York City,” said Michael Camacho, the New York Regional Director for AHF. “We’re very excited to see what these talented young minds can produce, and we’re sure they are eager to see those looks contribute to fighting HIV/AIDS all around the world.”

The Brooklyn Out of the Closet Thrift Store is the newest location for the unique thrift store where people can shop for a good cause and also have access to free HIV testing inside the store. The Brooklyn store, located at 475 Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, is the 22nd Out of the Closet location in the United States, joining stores in California, Florida, and Ohio. There is also one Out of the Closet location outside of the United States, located in Amsterdam.
