KFAR-SABA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--N-trig®, provider of DuoSense® – the first integrated active pen and multi-touch technology, today announced that its technology has been implemented in the new Acer Aspire® R7-572, the notebook designed for the new computing lifestyle with multiple modes of operation. The superior performance of N-trig’s pen technology propels new levels of productivity to pen input applications, enabling the user to write notes, annotate documents and photos, draw pictures and improve system control and collaboration. Acer demonstrates the new Aspire R7-572 at their booth # Hall 12/101 at IFA, Berlin, 6-11 Sept., 2013.
The Aspire R7-572 delivers Full HD 15.6” screen resolution and features N-trig’s latest DuoSense G4 Series 100 controllers and DuoSense Pen™ 2. With these upgraded controllers the touchscreen continues working even in excessively noisy environments. The active pen’s new conductive tip material provides an enhanced user experience, while the pressure sensitivity pursues it even closer to pen-on-paper feel. Additionally, the pen hover provides a precise navigation tool for small icon activation when a finger touch is simply too large to be accurate on high resolution screens. The DuoSense advanced palm rejection allows users to place their hand on the screen for a natural and intuitive writing experience.
“When the Aspire R7 first launched it defined the touch and type experience to create a more instinctive and natural way for people to interact with the PC. With N-trig’s DuoSense integrated pen and touch technology, we are expanding on the natural feel and functionality that our customers desire and have come to expect,” said Abraham Lin, Director of Platform Strategy Management of Acer Mobile Business Unit.
“N-trig DuoSense G4 Series 100 controllers enable our tier-1 OEM customers like Acer, to introduce advanced mobile devices that enable an enhanced pen and touch user experience,” said Ronen Bartal, Director of Product Management of N-trig. “Because our integrated active pen and multi-touch technology requires only a single sensor, our partners are able to reduce R&D efforts, overall cost of ownership and time to market for computing systems with optimal touch functionality and a precise active pen.”
