LINCOLN, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The work of College Store Design, part of the College Stores segment at Nebraska Book Company, an industry leader in solutions for the college store marketplace, has been selected for the cover of The College Store Magazine’s Annual Store Design Showcase issue for the second consecutive year. The College Store Magazine is an official publication of the National Association of College Stores and the leading trade magazine for higher education retailers.
“Collegiate retail is one of the quickest changing retail segments out there,” said Gwen Clancy, Senior Vice President of College Stores at Nebraska Book Company. “Universities are exploring ways to more effectively bring products and services to their guests on campus, so we are honored to have our style and design expertise featured on the issue that highlights the best solutions in collegiate retail design.”
Store designs by College Store Design have been featured on the cover of the Design Showcase issue four of the last eight years. Three of the other four covers featured design elements vs. store designs.
College Store Design provides designs for college stores, including Nebraska Book Company’s more than 200 Neebo-powered college stores nationwide, international universities including University of the Virgin Islands, St. George’s University in Grenada – West Indies and Georgetown University in Qatar, and architectural firms across the country. It also designs for university-operated convenience stores, fan shops, stadium shops and grab ’n go markets.
“It’s always our goal to lead the way in collegiate retail design so students and other guests have an outstanding retail experience,” said Randy Stejskal, Vice President of College Store Design.
Three of the six college stores featured in spreads within the Design Showcase issue were designed by College Store Design. The featured stores include The Big Red Shop in Lincoln, Neb., the Wayne County Community College District-Downriver Bookstore in Taylor, Mich., and College Store at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa.
