BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The four-day 11th ChinaJoy, the largest and most attended in its history, closed on July 28 in Shanghai.
This year’s exhibition zone covered an area of 75,000 m2, hitting a record high; it attracted 450 exhibitors from home and abroad, up 30.4% from last year; more than 700 games were showcased, including over 400 games produced by Chinese companies, the largest ever recorded; the number of visitors also reached a historical high of over 206,000 person-times.
The B TO B Area (including the WMGC B TO B Area) covered an area of 18,000 m2 and attracted more than 350 exhibitors, up 150% from last year. Over 5,000 business meetings were conducted on site by over 20,000 trade visitors from more than 20 countries and regions, 4,500 business meetings of which were arranged through the online business matching system before the exhibition started. The inaugural WMGC B TO B Area was also a success, gathering game elites from all over the world.
Mobile game was a new highlight of this year’s ChinaJoy focusing on “Games Composing Your Dream, Mobility Inspiring the Future”, with a significant increase in the number of mobile game exhibitors. The conferences held in conjunction with the expo, including CDEC, CGDC and CGBC, also added mobile game-related seminars and topics which accounted for 50% of the total.
In the past decade, ChinaJoy has grown into a spokesperson of China’s game industry in the global market. Carrying the desire and anticipation of the Chinese game developers, the 12th ChinaJoy will be held in Shanghai on July 31-August 3, 2014 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Its poster featuring the gorgeous color of purple conveys a message of delight and enthusiasm with the vivid images of heart beats, musical notes and the ChinaJoy mascots.
