SAN FRANCISCO--()--Kabam, the leader in the western world for free-to-play core games, today released Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, with an Android release coming soon on Google Play. Based on the company’s global hit Dragons of Atlantis Web game, Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is a brand new title in the franchise, built from the ground up for mobile devices. The game combines real-time interaction, battle strategy and deep social interactions with rich 3D modeling of Dragons, to deliver an immersive gaming experience.

Dragons of Atlantis is one of Kabam’s biggest franchises, generating more than $100 million in gross revenue in less than three years,” said Andrew Sheppard, president of Kabam Studios. “Fans have wanted a mobile version for quite some time, and Kabam has once again demonstrated its unique ability to seamlessly bring a popular Web game to mobile. We’re confident this new experience stays true to the brand and will exceed fans’ expectations.”

Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is the first mobile game allowing players to raise their own army of Dragons while rebuilding the glory of Atlantis. A mystical invite stirs in people a deep longing to journey to this mystical land to defend the majesty of the Dragons, as they fight for survival against the evil barbarians. The time has come for a Hero to emerge, to rebuild ruined cities and rediscover ancient wisdom. Players build armies and raise Dragons, as they prepare to lead an army of glorious beasts into the very heart of battle to save Atlantis. Game features include:

  • Raise Mighty Dragons: Watch your dragons grow from young hatchlings, into armor-clad, fire-breathing death dealers.
  • Rebuild the glory of Atlantis: Recover lost wisdom and reclaim Atlantis from the savage Anthropus.
  • Customize your Dragons: Discover Dragon eggs and watch as they hatch into 3D, fully interactive dragons, featuring over 50 unique animations.
  • Forge alliances with other players: Join an alliance to share the wisdom of the ancients as you strategize in real-time live chat and fight together in fierce conflicts and epic battles.

Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is the third mobile game launched by Kabam in three months. It is also Kabam's third franchise to include both a mobile and Web game. Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon's predecessor, Dragons of Atlantis, is Kabam's second $100 million+ franchise. Kabam's largest franchise, Kingdoms of Camelot, has grossed more than $200 million in less than four years with a Web game launched in 2009 and a mobile game launched in 2012 that was the top grossing app on iOS that year. Kabam's fastest growing franchise is The Hobbit, which includes a mobile and Web game launched last year. Kabam launched Fast & Furious 6: The Game and Blastron on mobile in May and July, respectively.

The Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com.
