Standard Alcohol Appoints Former Dow Chemical Executive Vice President, Michael R. Gambrell, to Its Board of Directors

DENVER--()--Standard Alcohol is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Michael R. Gambrell as a Director – effective July 1, 2013. “We are thrilled to have someone of Mr. Gambrell’s skill and pedigree to serve with us as an active Director. This is the first of many public announcements that we will be making in the coming months pertaining to the successful commercialization and scale-up of our Mixed Alcohol fuel technologies,” said Michael E. Pardun, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Alcohol.

About Michael R. Gambrell:

Mr. Gambrell most recently served as an advisor to the Chairman, Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”), in his retirement after 37 years of service. Mr. Gambrell has held many technical and executive positions during his storied career, including most recently Executive Vice President responsible for managing all of Dow’s global manufacturing and engineering organizations. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Gambrell served on the U.S. Department of Commerce Manufacturing Council, which advised the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on matters related to the competitiveness of the U.S. manufacturing sector. He is currently Director Emeritus of the US-India Business Council and served as a member of The University of Michigan Engineering Advisory Council from 2006 to 2012. In addition to serving as a Director at Standard Alcohol, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of TRW Automotive Holding, Inc. (NYSE: TRW) and the National Safety Council, and is Chairman of the Campbell Institute.
