Cognitive Networks Names Joshua Siegel Vice President of Product

Video Content Industry Veteran Joins Team to Drive Product Innovation

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Cognitive Networks, a market leading provider of real-time data services that power Enhanced TV on Smart TVs, today announced the appointment of Joshua Siegel as vice president of product. Bringing his extensive experience working with some of the most recognized video platforms in the industry, Siegel will be primarily responsible for product development focusing on the benefactors of Enhanced TV including consumers, content producers, Smart TV application developers and manufacturers. In this capacity, Siegel will also support sales and business development to help expand the company’s growth.

Prior to his role at Cognitive Networks, Siegel was responsible for video ingestion and streaming technology as principal product manager at Hulu®. Before Hulu, Siegel worked at Google’s™ YouTube™, launching their live streaming platform and other products for video creators, including the YouTube video editor tool. Proceeding YouTube, Siegel was responsible for local search on the Google mobile team where he integrated GPS granularity location into queries for the first time. Previously, Siegel held positions at Microsoft®, VMware® and Oracle®. Siegel also obtained an MBA in technology strategy and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
