FORT COLLINS, Colo.--()--Since Sept. 11, 2001, more than 50,000 U.S. servicemen and women have been physically injured in military conflicts and even more still suffer from invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.* To support the ongoing care needed for these service members, OtterBox® and Walmart announce limited edition OtterBox Defender Series® Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) cases for Apple® iPhone® 4/4S and iPhone 5.

OtterBox will donate five percent of the purchase price of each Defender Series Wounded Warrior Project case sold from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014 to the cause, with a minimum contribution of $150,000.

“We’re honored to team up with Walmart and Wounded Warrior Project to support U.S. service members,” said OtterBox CEO Brian Thomas. “These individuals have given so much for our country and return home from active duty to then battle mental and physical hurdles. We want to honor them for the sacrifices they have made.”

“Our goal is to meet all the changing needs of injured service members with our 18 unique programs and services,” said Wounded Warrior Project chief development officer Adam Silva. “It’s through the help of companies like OtterBox and Walmart that we’re able to continue our mission and support those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

The Defender Series provides three layers of rugged protection. A sturdy polycarbonate shell surrounds the device and a built-in screen protector keeps the display free of scratches. A durable silicone outer layer absorbs shock and port covers keep all access points free of dust and dirt. A holster-style swiveling belt clip is also included and doubles as a media-viewing stand.

OtterBox Defender Series Wounded Warrior Project cases are available now at otterbox.com for $59.95 and at select Walmart retail locations.
