PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Group François-Charles Oberthur (FCO Group) today announces the signature of an agreement with the Printing Works of the Bulgarian National Bank (PWBNB) to create a joint venture based in Sofia. The new entity, named “Oberthur Fiduciaire AD”, will be exclusively dedicated to banknote production.
“After doubling our banknote production and delivering a record 4.2 billion banknotes in 2012, the FCO Group will, for the first time in its history, operate a second site for manufacturing banknotes. This next stage in our development will allow the Company to continue to grow, and will therefore consolidate our position among the leaders of the banknote industry” said Thomas Savare, CEO of Oberthur Fiduciaire.
