DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpotXchange, Inc., the largest global marketplace of digital video ad inventory, today announced it has added Allen Klosowski as Vice President of Mobile and Connected Devices. In this new role, Klosowski will be in charge of developing and implementing winning strategies to help drive SpotXchange’s fast-growing mobile and connected devices digital video advertising business.
SpotXchange is enabling premium publishers to monetize their cross-device video inventory by providing advertisers, agencies, and DSPs programmatic buying tools and RTB access to millions of targeted video ads on smartphones, tablets, and connected TV devices worldwide. Mobile video is expected to account for $520 million in ad spending in the U.S. this year, or 13 percent of the overall digital video market (April 2013) according to eMarketer.
“There’s no denying that mobile and connected devices are one of the key segments driving digital video advertising spend and SpotXchange is well positioned to take advantage of this growth by helping publishers and advertisers apply the power of programmatic to mobile video advertising,” said Mike Shehan, CEO of SpotXchange. “Our goal is to address the pain points in the mobile, tablet and connected TV space with the same programmatic technologies and services that have fueled the exponential growth of online video advertising over the past few years. Allen’s proven experience leading mobile product strategy will be invaluable as SpotXchange continues to expand into this emerging market.”
Klosowski has over 10 years experience leading product, development, operations, business and marketing teams for notable media and technology companies. Most recently, Klosowski was responsible for leading mobile and social media strategy for Digital First Media's 75 daily newspapers across 18 states, millions of Twitter and Facebook followers, and millions of unique mobile users. Under Klosowski’s leadership, his team launched 254 mobile applications across iPhone, iPad, and Android, and spearheaded internal initiatives for mobile and responsive web. Prior to Digital First Media, Klosowski worked on the Innovations Team at EW Scripps, where he helped launch new media web and video ventures. Klosowski graduated with Highest Honors from Texas Tech University with a degree in Marketing.
“Video viewing on mobile and connected devices is taking off in a big way, but publishers and advertisers are grappling with how to make the most of this fast-growing medium,” said Klosowski. “Programmatic and RTB will have a tremendous impact on how mobile video inventory is bought and sold. I look forward to leveraging SpotXchange’s expertise in the real-time advertising market to drive new opportunities for our publishers and advertisers across the mobile video advertising industry.”
