NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sterling James and The Miles Partnership announced today the joining of their insurance practices. The Miles Partnership is a leading London-based executive search firm founded by Miles Broadbent in 1996. Sterling James is a New York-based global specialist in executive search and leadership advisory services for the insurance sector founded by Erin Hamrick in 2011.
The new affiliation creates a global platform for executive search services for Sterling James with offices now in New York, London, Chicago and Dubai.
Erin Hamrick, managing partner at Sterling James, explained that Ian Lazarus, who leads the insurance practice at Miles, brings a deep expertise and 30-years of experience in insurance search advisory, particularly in the property-casualty and insurance brokerage markets. His insurance clients include both public and private insurance corporations. Mr. Lazarus has lived and worked in London and the United States.

Ms. Hamrick spent successful careers in the insurance practices at Spencer Stuart and Heidrick & Struggles before forming Sterling James two years ago.

In other news, Erin Hamrick will present the results of a major study of insurance CEOs and board members at the IICF Women in Insurance Global Conference on June 12 in New York City. Ms. Hamrick will appear with Michael Angelina, executive director of the Academy of Risk Management & Insurance of St. Joseph’s University. Sterling James sponsored the study which includes the results of a comprehensive analysis of public data on gender, age and tenure of directors, executives and insurance company insiders.
