CHANTILLY, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation, a leader and innovator in delivering intelligence, investigative and security services to prestigious corporations and government agencies, announced today the appointment of an Executive Chairman and a new President.
Philip T. Sweeney has been named Executive Chairman and will serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OMNIPLEX Holdings Corp. Michael S. Santelli has been named President of OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation in addition to his current title of Chief Operating Officer. As President and COO, Mike will report directly to the Board of Directors.
In his role as Executive Chairman, Mr. Sweeney will provide leadership, counsel, and strategic guidance to the Board of Directors, the President and COO, and the Executive Team of OMNIPLEX.
As President and COO, Mr. Santelli will lead in the daily operations of OMNIPLEX. He will oversee all company operations, business development, and be responsible for all other functional areas to include IT, legal, contracts, finance and human resources. Terri Wesselman, current President and CEO, and Julien Patterson, Founder and Chairman, will retire from their current roles but will continue to serve OMNIPLEX on the Board of Directors.

Philip T. Sweeney has extensive executive leadership experience with companies in the government and information services sectors. From 1996 to 2009, Mr. Sweeney served as a Co-Founder, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of US Investigations Services (USIS), now Altegrity. Mr. Sweeney also serves as a Board Member and Senior Advisor to a diverse group of organizations in the alternative energy, business services, education, and healthcare sectors where he provides forward thinking vision, smart growth strategies, progressive change management and decisive financial expertise to achieve growth, diversification and sustainability. Mr. Sweeney is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and completed Executive Education programs at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford Business School, and Harvard Business School.
Michael S. Santelli is an accomplished leader with over 15 years in government contracting and a track record of managing companies in security based support services. Most recently, Mike served as the President of the USIS Information Management Division. During his 12 years with USIS, he was instrumental in USIS transitional growth and evolution including sales to three separate equity firms, employee stock ownership plan, recapitalization, and acquisitions. Prior to this, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Assurance and Advisory practice. Mike earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelors of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University.
