SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Philippine businesses from information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sectors will present their capabilities at the Philippine ICT Forum at CeBIT 2013, Australia’s largest annual business exhibition. They will showcase case studies and partnership opportunities between companies in Australia and the Philippines in areas such as IT and software development, healthcare outsourcing, financial services, customer relationship management, and legal and business advisory services. The forum takes place in Sydney on May 29.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Philippine delegation will be led by the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP). This year they are joined by the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) and will be supported by the Philippine government through the ICT Office of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-ICTO).
Thirteen companies from a wide range of sectors will be at the forum. These companies are: Acquire Asia Pacific, BPO International, EstanSAAS Development Inc., Exist, Firstsource Solutions Ltd., Globe Telecom, Jebsen & Jessen Communications Inc., Job and Esther Technologies, New World Solutions Inc., PNI Business Solutions, Pointwest Technologies, Quisumbing Torres, and Salmat Services Inc.

According to DOST-ICTO director for ICT industry development Patricia Abejo, the Philippine government offers competitive investment incentives including four to eight years income tax holiday, special five percent tax on gross income, other tax and duty exemptions, and additional deduction on total manpower training costs, among other incentives in investing in the industry.

Considered as the fastest-growing industry, the IT-BPM industry in the Philippines is outpacing the global offshore services market. Its advantages include a large pool of young English-speaking talent of 38 million and over 450,000 college graduates added annually to sustain and expand the current 800,000 IT-BPM employees.
