MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--C Spire Wireless, the only U.S. wireless provider with a suite of personalized services, released details today on its plans to introduce 4G LTE (Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution) high-speed mobile broadband services in south Alabama and northwest Florida this fall.
The company plans to roll out 4G LTE mobile broadband services in areas of south Alabama and northwest Florida that cover 2,899 square miles, a population of 687,000 and 146 cell sites. The new service will provide consumers and businesses in 21 cities and six counties with wireless data speeds up to 10 times faster than currently available. Most of the area is expected to have the new service in November with some areas activated later in the year.

4G LTE services planned for 21 cities in six counties representing nearly 700,000 population in both states
Hankins said the company plans to begin offering 4G LTE mobile broadband services in the following markets later this year:
- Alabama: 15 cities in the south Alabama counties of Mobile and Baldwin, including Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, Satsuma, Chickasaw, Daphne, Fairhope, Foley, Gulf Shores, Loxley, Orange Beach, Summerdale, Robertsdale, Silverhill and Spanish Fort
- Florida: 6 cities in four northwest Florida counties, including Gulf Breeze, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Mary Esther, Cinco Bayou and Miramar Beach
